Project Partners

Foundation Chirezi
...for the protection of women and children and the development of a 'nonkilling society' in the 'Great Lakes Region' in the centre of Africa — eastern areas of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi and Rwanda. Along with the promotion of safe birthing, Foundation Chirezi already has established an orphan's school (Farm of Hope) and the Women's Trauma Healing and Care project in Bukavu. Foundation Chirezi is organizing the Burundi details of the trip.

Christian Midwives International
Uniting Midwives of Faith Around the World. Each year at its annual conference, Christian Midwives International (CMI) chooses a project to support. In 2008 they have chosen to support two programs, with the training of skilled birth attendants in Central Africa as one of the projects. CMI is also providing assistance in the trip organization for the US details.
